Secret of the Solstice is a visually anime-inspired free to play MMORPG developed by Korean company DNC Entertainment. The game was released for the international English market on January 9, 2008, by Outspark.

On character creation players can pick one of the four available game classes: Squire, Apprentice, Neophyte and Acolyte. Every one of these classes will undergo transformations once a certain level is reached. Squires go through Knights, Warriors and eventually turn into Warlords. Fully developed apprentices are called Archmages, Neophytes are called Shadow Masters and Acolytes end up being Paladins. The pats these classes follow are rigid, but there is layer of character customization in the way stats (Power, Agility, Intelligence, Wisdom, Stamina, and Mentality) are managed. So players can build more defensive or more offensive or even completely useless characters depending on the way they manage those stats. The game has minimal PVP features and most of the PVP encounters are limited to special arena PVP events. The PVE is repetitive.

Graphically the game is at least interesting. Mixing 3D rendered environments with 2D sprites for characters and NPC is not a technological breakthrough or in any way innovative, but the result is sufficiently polished to make the game look decent.
