MicroVolts is a free to play third-person shooter game that uses a new concept of action figures and toys. There are a number of characters available, all of which are based around toys, some are action figures, some are models and others are mechanized stick figures.

The game features a large amount of weapons, all based around the toy theme. Melee and range weapons are included, with items such as the Baseball Bat, Wrench and Chainsaw taking the lead for melee weapons. Range are a lot more varied with close-quarter weapons like Shotguns being available, but also more sniper friendly weapons such as the Venom Rifle. All in all there are 8 categories of weapons, Melee, Rifle, Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, Gatling Gun, Bazooka and Grenade Launcher. All categories have several weapons to choose from including premium items that can be purchased from the in-game store.

MicroVolts has 15 unique maps for people to play on, with each map being opened for certain modes. The map design is one of the most unique features of MicroVolts with players being able to explore a toy-like castle, hobby shop and junkyard. A lot of the maps feel like the old micro machines games, where players are set in larger than life arenas including a chess table, a PC desk and a model ship.

The game also includes 9 different game modes, with traditional modes such as Deathmatch, Free for All, and Capture the Battery (CTF) but it also includes more exclusive game modes. One of the most popular amongst players is the Zombie Mode, 1 player starts the round as a zombie and must infect other players with melee attacks. There is also a single player mode called Invasion where a player is pitted against endless waves of robotic enemies, Rockhippo Productions have said that they hope to expand on the single player option in future updates.
