Microsoft Flight is a free to play flight simulator MMO game that is developed by the same company that has published the highly popular Flight Simulator franchise that has spanned over a decade. Microsoft Flight is the first true free to play flight sim available online, including both single player and multiplayer options, the game includes an array of features that have yet to be seen in the original Flight Simulator games.

The game takes place on the tropical islands of Hawaii, with realistic graphics and terrain. The scenery has been described as "life like" as the majority of the mapping and terrain has been taken directly from geographical sources in the region. Cutting edge technology has been used to ensure players get a breath taking view, whether you're 8,000 feet in the air, or skimming the waves as you come to land. Players can expect to see tropical forests, raging waters, small villages and large towns, everything a pilot needs to test their abilities.

Microsoft Flight includes a large variety of planes for players to collect and pilot. The game includes everything you would expect, from iconic historical aircraft such as the Spitfire, to more modern planes and cutting edge technology. As players collect more planes, they can be stored in a hanger for them to switch between freely. Players can also choose from a variety of paint and color schemes, and perform maintenance tasks such as refueling.

Pilots will be able to level up to unlock more planes by taking part in a number of activities available in the game. There are free missions, where players can choose to transport cargo and passengers, with experience points being rewarded for a smooth and speedy flights. There are also more challenging missions relating to certain flight techniques and maneuvers. The final option is to search the terrain for Aerocaches that are scattered throughout the game world, although they're not based on the ground, collecting each one is just as challenging as locating it.
