Maestia is the latest free to play MMORPG from veteran publishers, Bigpoint, the same development team that hosts popular titles such as Battlestar Galactica and Drakensang Online. Maestia includes 4 unique classes to play as, Warriors, Mages, Rangers and Clerics, all with their own abilities and progression systems.

One of the more defining features of Maestia is the Maestone system. As players defeat monsters and complete quests, they can find Maestones that can be attached to a weapon or piece of equipment. These stones unlock new skills for the player to use. Each class has access to over 80 skills and there are over 70 unique skill-unlocking Maestones, allowing for a huge choice in character abilities and skills. Players can choose to either use the Maestones themselves or sell them on to other players, creating a unique supply and demand system for skills, instead of just the usual items.

PvP features heavily in the game, with players having to pledge allegiance to one of the factions at character creation, players can choose to fight for either the Superion Guardians or the Temple Knights. Each side quests in different locations and has a different story progression path. Faction based PvP is quite popular and features large, intense battles with players fighting for loot, gold and glory. Maestia also offers guild vs guild (GvG) PvP where enemy guilds from opposing factions can battle it out for bragging rights.

Although the leveling system follows the typical MMORPG setup, it also introduces Divinity Points. These points, which are still collectible and usable even after reaching max level, allow players to increase their stats, unlock new titles and Maestone slots and also upgrade skills. This system creates a no-limit power cap for players, meaning the more you play, the stronger you get, you're not forced to stagnate once you reach the maximum level.
