Don't let the cute, low-poly, cartoonish graphics fool you – Legend of Edda is all about PVP. Developed by Eya Soft, the free to play MMORPG is constant struggle for survival in an environment dominated by hardcore PVP (player vs. player) and RVR (realm vs. realm) battles.

The story behind Legend of Edda is based on Greek mythology and players will have to choose between siding with the Titans or the Olympians. There are six classes to choose from: Warrior, Swordsman, Assassin, Archer, Cleric and Wizard. Class development is not limited by these six archetypes and as the player gains levels new subclasses can be unlocked and accessed through a system of promotion quests.

Apart from the promotions quests, which can be considered class specific, there are other types of quests that can keep players busy and interested in the game: regular, story related, PVP quests and faction quests. Another way of gaining experience points to level up is completing customizable instanced dungeons.

Being a free to play MMORPG, but heavily focused on player vs. player battles, many consumers strongly criticized the microtransaction system because it gives players willing to spend real money on in-game items an edge in PVP encounters.
