LaTale Online is a free online fantasy MMORPG. This side-scrolling game (created by OG Planet) is designed with a beautiful anime style theme and a surprising amount of game options.

To begin with you will be able to create your character. You have four choices when it comes to classes;

Warriors – This is your typical melee class. Warriors can equip 2-handed swords, knuckles or spears and deal an impressive amount of damage per hit, however, they lack in the defensive stance.

Wizards – Wizards fight with magic spells and are able to use four elements (fire, water, earth and wind) to aid them. They can equip stave's, knuckles or knives. They are able to create large area of effect spells which will deal a substantial amount of damage to many enemies, however their defense skills and hit points are considerably lower than the other classes.

Knights – Knights tend to use a weapon in one hand and a shield in the other. They deal a good amount of damage but their main prominence is on their defense skills.

Explorers – Explorers use bows and cross bows as their specialty, but can also equip daggers and knuckles too. Although the damage per hit that their enemies will receive will not be as large the other classes, it is by far the fastest dealt damage in game.

Each class has a choice of specific skills and crafting trees. Each time your character gains a level, you will be awarded another point to go into your tree in your specified area. As there are so many different skill trees for each class, it is best to pick your favorite and put all the points in one.

La Tale online is definitely breaking the mold in respect to similar games such as Maplestory, another incredibly popular side-scrolling game. It also has an easy to understand tutorial at the beginning to break you in (that does not last too long!), which will allow you to learn all the basics so you can get going.
