From Aeria Games, the same publisher that brought MMORPG’s like Last Chaos, Shaiya Online, Dynasty Warriors Online, comes Kitsu Saga, a 3D fantasy MMORPG with martial arts theme. The game entered its closed beta testing stage on October 1^st, 2010. Kitsu Saga is set in an oriental fantasy world populated by all sorts of evil creatures and malevolent entities such as demons or beasts.

In the character selection the player will be able to choose from two factions, each with four classes or disciplines as called in game.

Order of the Iron Claw has the following disciplines:

Godhand Style – fighters which are trained in this style use sabers and dual weapons.

Clearmind Style – this discipline is responsible with healing and buffing. The players are restricted to using swords.

Cloudstrider Style – those who pick up this trait will use polearms or melee weapons. They are called the masters of lighting and wind.

Mistsong Style – the fighters trained in this style will use throwing weapons and will master the art of transformation.

Flamewind Society features the following:

Asura Style – the players summon and channel the powers of the spirits and use dual weapons and polearms.

Watermoon Style – allows the player to manipulate water and buff allies. Melee weapons.

Astral Omen Style – the players use swords and sabers and make use of the art of poisons.

Heaven Sword Style – these fighters reject magic and use swords.

After choosing their faction and discipline and before venturing out into the world, where they will always be followed by a Kitsu, a fox spirit, players must personalize their avatars and the game offers a comprehensive enough set of tools for this task.

Kitsu Saga offers a pleasant, yet a bit repetitive gameplay, great art style, plenty of classes to choose from and unique character progression system. Unfortunately as a whole the game feels a bit too familiar, especially to the seasoned MMORPG player.
