The skill system in this game is entirely unique. Skills are gained and leveled up by using them. If you choose not to use your skills for a prolonged amount of time, your character will eventually forget the skill (much like real life!).

Questing in Grimlands is a good way to learn your way around the maps and meet other players doing the same quests. You can join up as a team to work your way through the quests, some of which take place in specific regions where this is recommended. The mobs in this game are vastly more intelligent than what may have been anticipated. They will run for cover if you shoot at them, hide behind walls or objects and occasionally will even lure players into a trap. Fortunately, it is possible to obtain a vehicle to travel around in. There are a wide range of PVP options including one on one duels, arenas and battlegrounds. It is recommendable for players to hook up with friends and join ranked clans to access a calendar of events and really get the best experience out of this game.
