Dragon's Prophet is the latest game to emerge from the development studios of Sony Online Entertainment, the same developers behind the hugely popular EverQuest and PlanetSide franchises. The game currently has a loose release date of mid 2013 but a variety of information and videos have already been made available, building hype for what could be a highly engaging MMO experience.

One of the most anticipated features of Dragon's Prophet is the Dragon system itself. The world is inhabited by hundreds of different Dragons, most of which can be caught, trained and ridden by the player. Dragons conform to regular MMORPG archetypes, featuring skill and abilities that bind them to a specific role or purpose. This means that individual Dragons excel in different aspects of combat, with some Dragons being able to sustain heavy damage while others can use skills and abilities to heal their allies. This unique feature gives players the opportunity to capture and train a number of different Dragon types, providing the opportunity to switch between archetypes far easier than other MMO titles.

As well as a unique Dragon mount system Dragon's Prophet also includes a variety of other exciting features including in-depth class and character progression choices, a highly appealing player housing system and all the quests a player could ask for. As with other Sony Online Entertainment titles players can purchase Station Cash to buy premium items in the game. Although some players disagree with this model it does mean that the majority of the game is free to play, removing the pay to play restrictions seen in many other popular MMO titles.
