Dragon Nest is a free to play MMORPG set in a fantasy setting with graphics and animations similar to the Kingdom Hearts console games. All features of the game are available to any player but there is an option of investing some real cash in the form of micro transactions, unlike some MMORPG titles, Dragon Nest doesn't force players to invest in order to compete so the choice really is up to you.

Dragon Nest offers 4 unique classes, Warrior, Archer, Cleric and Sorcerer all with a distinct appearance and a large number of abilities. Each class has the option to branch off into one of two sub classes that become available once your character has reached level 15. Although the sub classes still focus on the basic fundamentals of the main class, each allows the option of specializing in more specific areas, for example, a Warrior can choose to favor defense or attack or a Sorceress can choose to go down the path of damage or crowd control.

Dungeons play a large part in Dragon Nest, they're not simply an instance full of monsters and loot as most players would expect, instead Dungeons are entire regions that offer far more complex systems than available in other online titles. Dungeons are arranged in hubs, usually having access to 2 or 3 in close proximity. When you choose your Dungeon you get to select from 5 difficulty settings, from Easy to Abyss, all with scaling monster difficulty and rewards. Another nice feature to the Dungeon system is the ability to see the rewards the Dungeon offers before you participate, this removes the chance that a player spends time battling through to be rewarded items that are of no use. At the end of the Dungeon you're given a rating based on your fighting ability and the speed that you completed the instance, the experience and item rewards are greater depending on what level rank you get.
