District 187 is a free to play and download MMOFPS from Netmarble. Netmarble have enjoyed great success with previous MMO games such as their pirate themed MMO, Uncharted Waters Online and have replicated that success with this fast-paced action shooter.

One of the main focal points of District 187 is the gun customization system. Many games offer diverse classes and build outs but very few games offer players total control over the weapons they take onto the battlefield. Players earn gold for victories in matches and from killing more enemy players. This gold can then be used to purchase new guns and a variety of added potential modifications. There are a variety of different modifications that players can use, each of which has a different effect on the gun. Silencers reduce the sound a weapon makes and reducing the range, while a few extra clips will give you the edge in drawn out firefights.

Another defining feature of District 187 is the variety of game modes. Players can expect a good choice of standard MMOFPS game modes such as Death Match, and Round Matches, but there's also a large number of innovative game modes that bring something a little fresh to District 187. One of the favorites among players is the Death Match mode with weapon restriction. One of the modes allows players to enter intense melee combat duels with the only weapon being a knife. There are also Scramble and Bomb modes, both using familiar mechanics seen in King of the Hill and Sabotage.

District 187 isn't the greatest looking MMOFPS on the market but it has all the ingredients to please the FPS MMO'ers amongst us. Defintiley worth a try at the very least.
