Dark Eden is a fantasy based horror game set in the fictional Eastern European country of Eslania. The games unique horror setting sets it apart from other MMORPG titles with a dark aura surrounding almost every aspect of the game. Players get to choose one side which they wish to represent from a choice of 3. The available choices are Vampires, Slayers and Ousters (half vampire, half human).

Unlike traditional MMORPG games where different races offer similar abilities but an alternate appearance, the races in Dark Eden are truly unique. The Vampires use a typical MMORPG leveling system where they gain experience points based on their actions and abilities in combat, however, the other races use a different system to progress. The Slayers use an alternate skill system, which offers similar progression rewards but in a different way. Each race has their own selection of abilities, perks and weaknesses and also get access to race specific transports such as Bats, Motorbikes and Helicopters. Each race is also stronger at different times of the day, abilities are changed depending on whether it's night or day and the time of day also affects the environment.

As you would expect in a game with 3 warring factions, Dark Eden offers an in-depth, action-packed PvP environment. Players can travel to the Holyland of Adam to join large-scale, race VS race warfare on an open map. Guilds and other battles also take place here including keep sieges and assaults. When players participate in PvP they can level up their Rank, which is a separate system to their actual level, as players increase their rank they're able to learn rank specific abilities and gain access to rank restricted PvP items.

The game is available free to play and has recently been unlocked for all regions.
