Cabal Online is an action-based free to play MMORPG with a heavy focus on fast and fluid combat. The Combo system is also unique in MMORPG games, players can link abilities to perform combos, the higher the combo, the more damaging your abilities. This adds a skill-based element to combat rather than the typical mashing hotkeys approach. The combat animations are very decorative, a group of players fighting a boss has your screen filled with fire effects, flashes, large explosions and even earthquake animations. The armor and weapon design is fantasy based, allowing larger than life weapons and armor with more spikes than you can count.

PvP combat is also another important aspect to Cabal Online, players earn Honor points by killing monsters in PvP contested zones or hunting other players. Honor has a huge effect on your characters stats increasing HP, attack and defense. Many areas in the game encourage large-scale PvP by adding important world bosses, with great loot, forcing players from both sides to attack each other as well as the boss with the victors being rewarded with lots of honor and whatever loot the boss drops.
