Developed by Reakktor Media, Black Prophecy is a free to play real-time space combat MMOG. The story on which the game is based takes place in the 26th century. Mankind has conquered space and colonized most of the galaxy. However, in their expansionist effort they stumble upon an ancient alien race set on annihilating any other form of civilization.

Black Prophecy offers two playable species, both enhanced versions of the original human race: The Tyi and The Genides. The first are a species of cybernetically enhanced human beings with supernatural physical and mental strength. The second are genetically enhanced humans which can thus endure hostile environments, heal quickly and can communicate telepathically with each other. Regardless of the initial choice, the player is set on a collision course with Restorers and on a quest to find a way to save the three human species from total annihilation.

The game is action-oriented and focused on team play and player versus player encounters. Levels are gained through accumulation of experience points which can be obtained from combat and mission, both PVP and PVE. Player controlled ships can be upgraded and customized with the help of numerous parts, and because of their modular nature the results are extremely varied. Modular in nature are also the space stations that player clans can build.

The game was released on March 21, 2011.
