BattleForge is a free to play MMORTS title available on the popular EA portal, Play4Free. BattleForge utilizes a number of mechanics from popular RTS franchise and merges them with a fantasy setting, trading cards and a huge variety of magical spells to create a uniquely intense dynamic environment.

For you single-player fans, BattleForge is home to a cooperative scenario system that can support 2-12 players at a time. These intense scenarios pits players up against intelligent AI in strategy based combat situations where cooperation and communication are the key to victory. For those of you more interested in PvP, BattleForge features both ranked and unranked game modes offering every type of PvP an avenue of enjoyment. The game also features regular MMORPG assets such as direct trading, an auction house, in-game mail and a real-time chat system.

Unlike other MMORTS games that force you to spend days and weeks training armies with long cooldowns, BattleForge adds new depth to the MMORTS genre with its unique use of a trading card system. Your units, warriors and monsters come in the form of cards, which you can use to summon them on the battlefield. Like other card titles, this collectible aspect adds a lot of depth to the game with players specifically aiming to collect a certain number of cards or achieve the rarer cards via trade or scenarios.
