ArchlordX The Chronicles is the latest MMORPG from developers Webzen. Based on the popular Archlord title, Webzen plan to expand on the original, fixing many of the issues reported by the community and expanding a number of the core features. Webzen have said the game isn't designed to appeal to the masses, instead they hope to attract a certain type of gamer, they do this by offering unique PvP mechanics as well as a number of other hardcore features.

The first change players will notice is the redesigned character creation interface. They have done away with the overly complicated version from the original, making it more streamlined and offering many more options than available previously. They have also removed 2 of the races, ArchlordX The Chronicles will feature Human Monarch and Blood Orc at launch, both of which have access to 3 basic archetype classes.

As with the original Chapter 1 in Archlord, each and every fight is a challenge. Players cannot simply click a mob and kill it without paying any attention, every monster is tough but it really helps to encourage party play. The grind hint system also helps when wanting to know where to fight, it tells you the best location for monsters at your level.

They have also introduced a new Shrine Wars system. Every 3 hours players can choose to teleport to a PvP area, Humans on one side and Orcs on the other. In the middle of the PvP arena is a large monolith, the objective of the game is to get one player to interact with the monolith for a certain amount of time. If a player is able to interact with it and withstand the damage from the other side, his or her race will have access to PvE Shrine Dungeons. These are some of the best instances in the game offering some of the highest level loot and toughest boss fights.
