Adventure Quest World is a 2D fantasy browser-based MMORPG developed and published by the same team behind Adventure Quest. The game was developed entirely in Adobe Flash and was released on October 10, 2008 after months of testing.

Graphics in AQ Worlds are relatively similar to its predecessor, carrying that same pleasant and enjoyable simplicity. Players can customize their character appearance by choosing their hairstyle, color, skin, eye color.

There are 4 primary classes available for free:

Healer – the supportive class of the game. Their secondary class is the Acolyte.

Mages – spell casters which deal heavy damage to their opponents. Their secondary class is the Sorcerer.

Rogues – melee fighters which rely on stealth and inflict devastating damage, but suffer of low defense and health. Their secondary class is the Renegade.

Warriors – the good old primary melee class with high defense, great health and powerful attacks. The secondary class for them is Warlord.

Secondary classes are restricted to paying players. Also players can buy individual classes such as Paladin, Pirate, Ninja, Witch, Beast Warrior and others.

Once players enter the game they will have to complete grinding based quests and battle a variety of monsters in order to gain experience and loot. PvP combat is said to be in development. Adventure Quest World offers a casual and pleasant experience appealing to a broad audience even though the game was designed in a humorous, child-friendly way.
