If you want to train troops, collect rare resources or trade with other players, you'll have to balance your economy so that you have the resources to construct new buildings.

Heroes of the Realm uses a unique feature to allow casual players to be able to compete with even the most hardcore of gamers. Every action used in the game requires Energy, a unique resource that builds up over time. Whether you're attacking players, constructing buildings or defeating enemy monsters, every action will drain your Energy bar. Players are given 1 Energy every 5 minutes, meaning once your actions consume your Energy, you'll have to wait to act again. Whether you spend 1 hour a day gaming, or 15; everyone, of all skill levels, will be able to compete on even grounds.

One of the most defining features of Heroes of the Realm is the hero system. Unlike other MMORTS games that use a very basic and bland form of the hero system, Heroes of the Realm has one of the most in-depth hero features available in any MMORTS game. There are literally thousands of different heroes available, depending on rarity, star sign, gender and abilities.
