Diablo fans have had a long wait (12 years) for the next installment of this epic story line. From the same developers who bought you games such as World of Warcraft and Starcraft, Diablo 3 was always going to have a big impact on the gaming world.

So Diablo 3 picks up a good 20 years after the events of Diablo 2. Diablo, Baal and Mephisto, who had previously wreaked havoc for the little town of Tristram remain defeated. However, trouble begins to stir when the magical shield - the “worldstone” - is destroyed leaving the inhabitants of the world of Sanctuary vulnerable to the forces of the high heavens and, more worryingly, the burning hell.

When you begin, you have the choice of 5 different characters to play as;

Barbarian, the only character to make a return from Diablo 2 (due to favoritism from fans). This character uses fury and strength to power their attacks.

Monk, not unlike the assassin class from Diablo 2, this character uses fast melee attacks and also has the (very useful) ability to perform healing, thanks to the holy light abilities.

Witch Doctor, similar to World of Warcraft’s Warlock, this character can raise hell (literally) by summoning undead monsters to fight alongside them and using spells to confuse and terrify their opponents.

Wizard, your standard spell caster with a hint of stealth! Powered by Arcane magic, this character has a brilliant range of AoE spells.

Demon hunter are experts in ranged weapons. With the ability to use a crossbow and throw a well aimed grenade these guys are not to be underestimated. Discipline and hatred fuel their weapon usage.

Each character comes in either male or female form regardless of class (unlike Diablo 2) and they all have their own background story to tell. This hugely popular action-role playing game is available to play online now!
