5 Tips To Help You Survive The Tide In Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide
Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide is an incredibly exciting co-op addition to the critically acclaimed Warhammer universe but as with any co-op game, there's always that one guy. Don't be that guy with our list of top 5 tips to help you survive the endless onslaught of the Skaven in Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide.5 - Don't Be A Rambo
You know what I'm talking about. This is typically a trait associated to two types of players. The fresh level 0 new player that has an ego big enough for Hard Mode or the player 10+ levels above everyone else that assumes they're immune to the attacks from Specials, this is not the case. Teamwork is key to your survival in the End Times, splitting from your team for any reason can often have less than desired results. Stick together, work together, survive together.4 - Maximize Potions & Heals
On the harder difficulties a well timed potion, explosive or healing item can be the difference between success and failure, don't waste them. Pay attention to regular Rat Ogre spawns, likely areas for waves of Skaven and other nearly predicable elements. Instead of wasting every healing item in sight as soon as you find them, it can sometimes be more beneficial to recall nearby items and retreat to heal. Grenades are rare but they're not mythical, if your team is in trouble use them. Going down with a grenade or potion still in your inventory means you did not best prepare for the fight that took you down.3 - Utilize Character Roles
Are you playing a Bright Wizard and clearing out enemies with your powerful AoE fire attacks? Are you playing the Empire Soldier and protecting your team mates with defensive shield attacks and choke-point defending? Great. That's your job. However, if you're running around as the Dwarf Ranger with a 2H hammer getting attacked from every direction and losing 60% HP from each encounter, or ignoring your bow as the Elven Waywatcher when you're 2 inches from an ammo deposit, you're doing it wrong. Learn your characters strengths and weaknesses, learn those of your allies and learn to play to everyone's strengths.2 - Don't Be A Hater
In a game with such a punishing reward and loot mechanic, it can be easy to lose your cool. Remember that every player has had different experiences in the game itself and the industry as a whole. Everyone begins the game as a nooby, don't punish people for that. Share your advice, listen when it's appropriate and try to explain basic mechanics to the lesser experienced players - it benefits everyone in the long run.1 - Communicate
Have you played for hours on end and not heard anyone over VOIP? Have you reached level 10 without noticing there's an in-game chat function? You're doing it WRONG! Communication is arguably the single most important element in the entire game. Make sure your VOIP is turned on, chat to your team in-game at appropriate times and don't ignore directions given by the more defensive members of your team. As is common with these types of games the community, their tactics and the bond between players will grow and improve with time. We cannot wait to see how the game evolves in coming months so join us as we halt the tide in Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide.Leave a comment
