Jagex To Free Up Millions Of Runescape Character Names
The award-winning free-to-play no download MMORPG game, RuneScape, will be entering a new era as millions of inactive player names will be made available. 66 million character names, out of 220 million player accounts, will once again be made available for us for the first time in over 10 years. Names such as Lord_Mage, King_Elf and the Fonz are now available, previously held up but inactive accounts that haven't seen any activity in years. Jagex, the developers of Runescape, are making account names available on a batch by batch basis. When a new batch is released the names will first be offered to players with over 1,000 total levels, giving more loyal and dedicated members the chance to snatch up these new names, as opposed to brand new accounts that will likely sit dormant again.Leave a comment
